About Us

Shorewood Foursquare Church is a member of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. We are a charismatic, kid-friendly church with contemporary worship, inspired Bible teaching, and a wonderful family atmosphere. Our church life centers around five separate dynamics found in the early church as revealed in Acts 2. We at Shorewood are committed to: Worship, Prayer, the Word of God, Loving each other, and Being Otherly (bringing God’s Kingdom to those outside the walls of our church).

Worship is a vital part of our church life where we focus our thoughts and hearts on loving the Lord through song in unity and devotion. It is a time of drawing near the Lord, where we give him again our lives and He fills us afresh with the Spirit.

Prayer  As believers in Jesus' name, one of the greatest opportunities we have been given is the privilege of prayer. We take Jesus' words to heart when He says, “My house shall be called a house of prayer.” We take time to pray.

Word of God  The primary way the Lord speaks to us is through His divinely inspired written word. It is our goal to accurately present God’s word in a relevant, applicable, life-changing way.

Loving one another  There is no greater testimony of the goodness of God than for His church to treat and care for one another well. With our words and actions, we are committed to loving one another with the love of Christ.

Being Otherly  We have been commissioned by Christ to be salt and light to the world around us. We prayerfully seek out opportunities to share the love and message of Christ to our neighborhoods, nation, and around the world.
